We're not going

We were planning on visiting friends in Northampton this weekend. But the trains aren't running down south, and to be fair there is a bit more snow than this. BUT this is all that is in the news at the moment and it's getting really annoying- why should a foot of snow cause so much disruption? When mom, in Canada, needed her hairdryer to thaw open her FRONT DOOR!!

As Ross would say, for goodness sake!

I know, parts of Europe really over react to snow. In Dec a Belgian newspaper had pics of a street with less than a foot of snow and headlines claiming the end of the world! I laughed really hard, and for some reason didn't blog it. How strange. Really Joan? a hair dryer! That must have a been fun.

Your mom is a trooper.

If it were me, I would have put my jammies back on and curled up for the day with a nice hot cuppa tea.

Or, if it were during the afternoon or evening hours, I'd go for a beverage of a more sociable nature.

hmmm, maybe the morning tea could use a drop of brandy.

Enjoy your weekend. You too Joan.

It was traumatic, really traumatic, Bethanne! :)
Yes, Toni, having "beverages" on hand is a must for Canadian winters!
Too bad about your weekend, guys.

So what did you do instead?
Aberdonian children did lots of sledding.
