A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark woods,
A cat saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.
Stupid cat. Those lines were a rip off of the Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson, by the way. (In case she is a litigous creature)
It wasn't Baked Beans, but his evil brother Toast who did the dastardly deed. And now I have to bury the poor thing somewhere in the garden this afternoon.
I haven't really been in the garden this week as I have been sick with a bad cold- so when I went out to feed the birds just now I realised how warm it was so took a stroll and some photos for your enjoyment, or disgust if you think it's messy.
I got rid of these two monsters on Tuesday and someone was going to pick one up to replant it, but she didn't show and it died. What a waste!! But there will be loads of room to show off a few of the nicer things in the garden and fit in some raspberries (which I need to order today) and a new toilet for the cats pleasure. Any clear ground will do.
We have bazillions of hoverflies this year, and they are supposed to be good but I forget why, and they are not eating any greenfly that I can see, the roses are mostly covered, but the red one below is going to be nice when it blossoms as Mae had been deadheading this summer and they are flourishing! I may need to keep some, oh dear!!
